The AFF Cup Knockout Stage On Track to Reach Completion on December 19 2020

Asian sports bettors nowadays are focused on betting on the outcomes of the AFF semi-final competitions, as the knockout stage resumed last September 26,2020. Now that the knockout competition has resumed, ten of the 16 Southeast Asian National football teams will emerge as qualifiers at the end of the home and away matches on December 19, 2020.

Due to the continuing spread of the pandemic, the ASEAn Football Federation (AFF) suspended the biennial AFF Cup which should have kicked off earlier this year. The qualified national teams will then enter the AFF Cup final matches scheduled to take place in 2021, from April 11 to May 08, 2021. The AFF intends to continue the championship matches in the original format where games will be played on a home and away basis in Southeast Asian countries with qualifying teams.

The venues though still depend on the current level of risks present in each participating ASEAN nation.

Moreover, the AFF Cup will continue as the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 in accordance with the sponsorship agreement entered with Suzuki, a world-leader in consumer appliance manufacturing. The said sponsorship is the first for the AFF Football Championship brand, in which the Vietnam National Football team will be playing as the defending champion.
