Baccarat is simply a card game wherein you’re given 2 or 3 cards. If you have the highest score, then you win. However, บาคาร่า is largely a game of chance. Don’t expect that any of your betting strategy would work here. Traditionally speaking, this is a game for high rollers though the recent versions of this game are catering those who are into lower stakes.
You can start playing the game by finding a table and buy some chips. The card is then played from 8-card deck and all cards are given a point value much as how it is played in blackjack. The point value will be slightly different though. You may begin by betting on one of 2 hands, either as a banker or player. Additionally, you’re given the option to bet on a tie but you should not place this bet.
Blackjack to Baccarat
Now depending on where you would play, you can be given side bets too. However, it is ideally if you’d skip on it as more often than not, they have lousy odds. Compared to blackjack, you get a hand in which you play against the dealer. In baccarat, there are just two; no matter how many players are in the table. In blackjack, each hand has 2 cards to begin with.
Every hand is scored between 0 and 9. You get at the point total by simply adding the points for every face of the card. Say you have 10+ in total, simply count the points based on what is after 1 – 14 means you have 4, you just ignore 1. In blackjack as well, you have the option of choosing whether or not take additional cards. This one though all lies on the player’s decision.
How does Baccarat Differ?
When you are playing baccarat on the other hand, there are set of rules that will determine whether there is a need to deal for the 3rd card. Total of 8 or 9 is deemed “natural” and if the banker or the player has natural, then neither hands get additional card. Say that the player’s hand gets a total of 6 or 7, then the hand stands. If it is 5 though, then that hand will automatically get another card.
Say for example that the player’s hand stood with 6 or 7, the banker will be taking additional card if the banker’s total is either 5 or lower. If the banker has 6 or 7, then the banker’s hand stand.
