We were staggered to read the headline "Traditionalist Southall Accepts Everton Move".
Then we read the piece and read it again. The closest we could find to the big fella accepting anything was this.
"While one or two clubs are shopping at Harrods, the rest are going to Tesco or Marks & Spencer. But how do you join the elite? Not by charging astronomical prices but it seems clubs are finally getting the message.
It's far better to be charging realistic prices at a bigger, better stadium and one day, Everton will have to make a tough decision. Life moves on."
We could say a bigger and better stadium could be achieved on the existing site. Maybe that's what Nev actually meant.
Never let the truth stand in the way of a decent headline ?
