Everton Chief Executive Officer Resigns
Following intense speculation on Monday evening Mr. Keith Wyness has resigned his position as Chief Executive Officer of Everton Football Club.
Mr Wyness joined the club in August 2004 and instigated a series of measures to arrest the uncertain financial situation he inherited. These included a three-year business plan to raise the club's turnover to over £60M a year, outsourcing of catering and merchandising operations and the realization of the clubs assets to conceal the complete lack of investment by the directors of the club.
Sadly all of these measures have been a complete failure and Mr Wyness leaves the club in a far more precarious position than when he joined, with turnover down, debts increasing, outsourcing failing, the club's assets almost exhausted and the preposterous legacy of another plan to raise £78M for the ill fated relocation of Everton from its traditional home in the world famous capital of culture city to a retail park in Kirkby.
